On 18th December 2006 IENUM Limited, a 70% subsidiary company of the IE Domain Registry Limited (IEDR), signed an agreement with Comreg to provide the national ENUM registry service for Ireland. On the same date the IE Domain Registry Limited (IEDR) signed a Shareholder Agreement with Internet Privatstiftung Austria (IPA) which provided inter alia the terms and conditions of the joint venture between the IEDR and IPA, and their respective responsibilities.

IEDR is the '.ie' ccTLD domain name registry, which provides the service underlying all Irish .ie domain names.

IPA is a very experienced organisation in the operation of ENUM. It provides the Austrian .at ccTLD domain name service, as well as providing the world`s first commercial ENUM service.
