Welcome to IENUM, Ireland's ENUM Registry

From 31 June 2007 IENUM will operate the registry and the DNS server for the commercial use of ENUM in Ireland. Under contract from the Irish telecommunications regulator "Commission for Communications Regulation", IENUM administers the 3.5.3.e164.arpa zone and provides registrars with the necessary infrastructure for ENUM domains within the number area '+353'.

ENUM provides a global standard for linking telephone numbers with internet resources, thus allowing the simple addressing of these internet services via a phone number, an important component in the convergence of telephony and internet.
